West Alabama Fishing

Sometimes the infographic balloons into a full "Special Section." I proposed this graphic to my editors as a fun things-to-do in the summer with the kids type piece. Not being to familiar with the area, I wanted to know what were the top five game fish in west alabama as well as where I could go to catch them and what I could use for bait.  Plus, the added extra "Did you know" to go along with each fish. The fish are actually hand drawn and later painted in Photoshop and designed using InDesign. The lures are created with Adobe Illustrator. Later the Editors decided to make it a special section, complete with a business piece on the tackle industry, a mental health piece and, my favorite, a video of one of our writers at his secret fishing hole.
