For my magazine fronts, story illustrations and social media posts, I'll generally try piggyback off the colors of the season. For the fall, those colors are the yellows, oranges and reds but with a hint of the olive greens, basically what you see in the backyard in late October early November. Just like the smell of pumkin spice, people get excited by the thought of the new season. This illustration is almost entirely Adobe Illustrator and with "almost" no gradients.
Fun Fact:
Because of my work with the "Monster Makeover" charity art show in Tuscaloosa and being an illustrator for more than 30 years, I've created more than 30 monsters.
